RTA SCHEDULES VIRTUAL TOWN HALL ON June 15, 2022

Regional Transportation Authority of Central Oklahoma Makes Progress on the Alternatives Analysis
Study CENTRAL OKLAHOMA – After more than a decade of transformative growth, the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) of Central Oklahoma has created a Transit System Plan for its member cities in Central Oklahoma including Edmond, Oklahoma City, and Norman. RTA is now conducting an Alternatives Analysis Study to deliver quality transit and connect local transit with regional mobility options. The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) of Central Oklahoma is hosting a Town Hall to discuss the progress of the Alternatives Analysis Study and discuss the future of transit in Central Oklahoma.

The Virtual Town Hall can be joined live, and the recording will also be available on the project website,
RTAMoves.com on-demand after it takes place. The Virtual Town Hall will discuss the progress of the
Alternatives Analysis Study, address forthcoming phases for transit development in Central Oklahoma, and provide time for the public to ask questions to the project team.

The Alternatives Analysis Study began after the draft Transit System Plan was adopted on April 21, 2021. This phase is currently evaluating both the North/South Corridor and the East Corridor to identify the type of transit to pursue and feasible station locations. The Virtual Town Hall will be held on June 15, 2022 at 6:30pm on Zoom, and the recording will be available on the project website at RTAMoves.com the following day. RTA Board Members may attend this Virtual Town Hall as members of the public but will not be conducting business of the RTA.
