Future Riders
ONE Transit is more than just transportation.
It’s a movement to shape the future of Central Oklahoma by connecting communities, creating opportunities, and inspiring progress. With every route we build, we’re not just moving people; we’re building stronger connections between where you are and where you want to go. This is about more than transit. It’s about the momentum that drives us all forward.
How ONE Transit will transform the region:
Who We Serve
Built for everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Central Oklahoma
ONE Transit was built with the community in mind. Our plans for Central Oklahoma are designed for a prosperous future whether you ride one time or every time.
Riders
Whether you are heading to class, commuting to work, taking the kids out, or enjoying retirement, you deserve safe, convenient, and affordable transit to get you where you want to go.
Residents
Public transit doesn’t just move people, it helps communities thrive. It creates new opportunities, enhances quality of life, and attracts investment in housing, shops, and mixed-use spaces. Strong transit corridors build stronger communities, benefiting everyone across the region.
Businesses
A connected transit system fuels growth, helping businesses tap into talent, creating new opportunities, and making our region a place where young professionals and families want to be.
Visitors
From Bricktown to Downtown Edmond and Paycom Center to the University of Oklahoma, transit will support a robust tourist economy allowing visitors to easily travel within and outside of Central Oklahoma.
Local Leadership
City leaders and policymakers are building the foundation for a brighter future. A connected transit system opens doors to new economic opportunities, brings more people to our neighborhoods and businesses, and helps communities across the region thrive together.
What our plan includes:
Commuter Rail
The proposed backbone of the regional system, commuter rail can connect central Oklahoma communities in a new way.
Light Rail
Connecting Downtown Oklahoma City to the Will Rogers International Airport via Reno Avenue and Meridian Avenue.
Regional BRT
Bus Rapid Transit will connect Downtown Oklahoma City with important destinations on the East and West Corridor.
Other Modes
As the demand for transit continues to grow in Central Oklahoma, diverse transit options will be needed, such as vanpools, microtransit, and bike share.
How you can help shape the system
ONE Transit belongs to all of us. Whether you’re a resident, rider, policymaker, or advocate, your voice matters.
