Frequently Asked Questions
ONE Transit is the Regional Transportation Authority for Central Oklahoma. We’re a partnership between Oklahoma City, Norman, and Edmond, established to provide economic opportunity and connectivity through the development of a safe, reliable, and future-forward regional transit system in Central Oklahoma.
As our region continues to grow, so do the ways people need to get around. A regional transit system will give residents and visitors more travel choices for work, school, health care, or leisure. Whether commuting to OKC, catching on OU game in Norman, or visiting your doctor in Edmond, we’re making it easier to move between communities safely, efficiently, and affordably. Learn more about our Transit System Plan.
The plan includes a mix of modern, connected options: Commuter Rail linking Edmond, Oklahoma City, and Norman; Light Rail service between downtown and Will Rogers World Airport; Bus Rapid Transit to major destinations like Tinker Air Force Base and west Oklahoma City; and expanded bus, streetcar, and other modes of connections that make it all work together as one system.
Regional transit helps everyone save time and money by providing convenient, affordable mobility options for everyday travel. It supports economic growth by attracting new businesses and development, improves air quality, provides relief to traffic congestion, and enhances the overall quality of life in Central Oklahoma.
While agencies like ODOT, ACOG, and EMBARK each play important roles in Oklahoma’s transportation network, ONE Transit is the agency focused specifically on developing and operating the regional transit system that connects our cities. We work closely with these partners to ensure all transportation modes work together efficiently.
ONE Transit is a regional effort built with community input at every step.
